About Us...
Tambo Mundo is a Bed & Breakfast where you can enjoy cozy places while you
are close to nature, San Pedro and San José. Tambo is a word derived from
the word “Tampu” of quechua (indigenous language very common in South America)
that means “city that offers lodge, food and comfort to travelers”.
Mundo is the spanish word for “World”. You will enjoy an amazing view of Braulio Carrillo National Park and Irazú Volcano in a big house with cozy common
places.
About Juan Carlos:
Juan Carlos is a young professional who runs Tambo Mundo Bed and Breakfast
which is unique by its coziness and the mix between city and nature. In Tambo
Mundo you will have access to wireless Internet, a broad library of latinamerican
literature, politics and sustainable development, and also to movies and documentaries.
Juan Carlos is always eager to meet people from around the world and help them
to enjoy Costa Rica. He studied political sciences and communications. He has
worked for the ombudsman and for Costa Rican Congress, so if you want to get a
glance of Costa Rican politics and institutions just have a coffee or a beer
with him. He has a broad intercultural experience since he has lived with people
from all around the world in different countries in Europe and America. Juan
Carlos speaks fluent english and can have basic conversations in german and french.
